The forecast had been for rain. It ended up being mostly sunny; though deceptively chilly! Having been locked up in an office all week I'd missed the fact that it had rained so the mud that I had to wade through was something of a surprise! Here's the pics from this section of the trail.

It was muddy!
I counted and this tree had been there for about a hundred years. Now its a pile of logs! I'm hoping it just had its life and blew over rather than getting chopped down for no reason. It had been there since my great grand parents had their first child!
So there's probably no better spot to ponder impermanence that sitting on that stump, gazing at the view south over Kent and eating lunch.
